Sugar Cookie Icing

I am shocked I have never posted this recipe!!! Sorry! Here you go - just in time for the holiday season!

This is our favorite icing, we use it constantly with THESE awesome awesome cookies! The combo is just oh so yummy that even I, a girl who much prefers chocolate, can't resist!

The fun thing about this recipe if you can do so much detail on your cookies, we use the back of spoons, paintbrushes, and toothpicks for detailing! We make lots of different colors per batch, each in a little bowl and let our imaginations run wild! Tie die Easter eggs are our specialty! The colors stay bright and this icing dries hard and shiny (but be sure to give them time to dry)!

Another awesome thing - super FAST and super easy clean up! Wooo hoooooo!!!

Can you tell I love this recipe? Well here it is....

Sugar Cookie Icing

1 Cup powdered sugar
2 -3 tsp milk
2 tsp corn syrup
1/4 tsp almond extract
assorted food coloring

In a small bowl combine powdered sugar and milk and beat till smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.
Divide into seperate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity. Dip the cookies or paint with brush, back of spoon etc! Have fun! These are great to make lots of little details, if you want to detail them don't use too much frosting or it will run - in this case less is more;)
HAVE FUN!!!!!
